Arnault Vallée / Orton Catering Head Chef Arnault Vallee trained in France in a 2 Star Michelin Family Restaurant learning the art of cooking.He then moved to London to work for the famous Roux Brothers, before advancing to work with a big brigade at the Ritz. He also helped build the reputation of what is now London’s leading party design company - The Admirable Crichton. He immigrated to New Zealand in 2000 where he took the position of head chef at Austin’s in Auckland, a position that he held for almost 5 years before moving to Hawke’s Bay and joining our company.

Terry Lowe has been Head Chef at Black Barn Bistro Havelock North since it’s opening in 2003. With his dedicated team, he has established an international reputation as a ‘must visit’ for locals and visitors to Hawke’s Bay.
He feels inspired to be working in a region where there is an abundance of fresh produce and an amazing climate. As a chef he feels that you never stop learning and even if you cook all of your life you only scratch the surface and for this reason he loves cooking as “every days a new day”.
